The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)
Under the AfCFTA, goods wholly obtained in a State Party — such as crops grown or harvested there — qualify for preferential tariffs. Each country’s competent authority issues the certificate of origin, and may ask the exporter for the documents that prove origin.
What AADH does
- an origin evidence pack per export lot: where the goods were grown, by which cooperative, in which batch;
- a readiness profile for the exporter;
- lot-by-lot access for buyers, with the exporter’s consent, and for certification bodies.
AADH supplies origin evidence; it does not issue certificates of origin.
